Autumn Treat Smoothie
It's getting cooler in the mornings! The last thing I want is a chilly smoothie to smother my digestive fire down to a mere sizzle!
2 Bananas—not frozen but very ripe
5 Tamarillos—just picked!
1/2 cup Goji Berries- a wonderful blood tonic
Raw Meal protein
Tablespoon Maca—nourishing and hormone balancing
Tablespoon Spirulina—richest plant source of protein and heaps of other nutrients
Tablespoon CamuCamu—richest plant source of Vitamin C
Tablespoon Tumeric—so rich in antioxidants and the cheapest superfood you can get! Also very warming on the digestive system.
Tablespoon Coconut Oil
Tablespoon UDO's 3,6,9 blend: Fats are essential for absorbing many nutrients, and you need good fats to run your engine, especially as it gets cooler and the body has to work harder to stay warm! I added green juice as my liquid today but sometimes just use coconut or plain filtered water ( btw I don't add leafy greens to smoothies as I find they are harder to digest and the fruit ends up fermenting a bit, giving some discomfort). So, don't think you can do smoothies through winter? Think again, stay seasonal, stay room temperature and look after your insides!
