Plant Power 101

I'm always being asked about where to start with eating plant-based. The first thing I say is that it's not a DIET! It's a way of eating that is all about ABUNDANCE rather than deprivation........ " have I been good today?" - PUH-LEASE, can we give ourselves a break already! Often it's hard to know where to start, you may be unsure about trying different ingredients, you may just be bored with your usual repertoire:  This class covers everything! Oh and we're not the least bit judgey on where you're at today. We're simply about Getting More Plant on Your Plate Mate!

Things we'll discuss: 

*Why plant based?

*Where do I get my PROTEIN

*Can I be super fit and plant-based- really?

*Will it improve my gut health?

*Will going plant based help my (insert condition)?

*Does eating plant based mean Mung Beans (in which case I'm out)? 

We'll cover Juicing, Smoothies, High Protein Snacks, Fermented Foods, Delicious Dinners and of course, other worldly DESSERTS. 

This class will suit anyone wanting to add more raw, plant based goodness to their plate. You'll eat loads of food and take home about 20 recipes to try at home.

Our classes are run in our purpose built teaching kitchen, with access to our wonderful garden. Our classes are always entertaining, informative and great value for money!  You'll get the address details for our East Geelong kitchen when you register.

This class is perfectly poised to make the most of the change in seasons! We'll be making a range of delicious, colourful and nutritious salads that will wow your guests (or make your heart happy when you open your lunch box!) AND we'll make a few amazing desserts that will please any palate and manage any gluten free/dairy free dietary issues you may have to navigate.

Here's a sample of what we'll be making:

-Kale Caesar Salad with Sunflower Dressing (this is unreal it's so delicious!!!)

-Broccoli Kale Bonanza with Christmas extras- this is one of our most popular salads at the cafe and you'll see why!

-I haven't decided on the third one yet

-We'll make some Fermented Cashew 'Cheese'

-Desserts will include 'Notella Dream Cake', Christmas Spice Slice, Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake

We'll also enjoy some Green juice and Kombucha to wash it all down and you'll get to taste some other desserts we don't make on the day, AND take home pages and pages of recipes!

We’ll look at several dishes and snack foods you can use this wonderful machine for, including: Zucchini Fritters, Pizza, Crackers, Breads, Sauces, Fruit Chews and Cookies. We’ll answer common questions and get you raring to go with your new toy!  You get a $15 store credit if you've already purchased a dehydrator from us and a $15  store credit if you purchase one after attending!
